Win, Buy, Finish... and white. lotsa white.

Hope you guys who celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday enjoyed yours.  We did.  Nummy food!

A few weeks ago I won a contest on Bev's blog - guess what pattern she was stitching and win one from her website.

I chose this one:

Photobucket
'Allure'.

Pretty, yes?  It doesn't look like it would take too terribly long either, which means I'm seriously considering starting it in 2013.  Not in January, though.

And payday meant another WSnB pattern:

Photobucket
'Look!'

Their skin is charted to be Baby Blue - DMC 3756.  Weird, but that's from the actual picture, not a charting-program mishap.

Anybody buy anything during the HAED sale?  I've been so good!  Only one more off the Hannah Lynn List-O-Doom (tm)

Photobucket
QS Rae

Just for the heck of it, the other un-purchased ones on the list are (QS) Darcy, Crabby Crush, Allyson, Genevieve, Daffodil Springs, Nina, and Rosita (and she's thinking about five or six others...yeesh) and regular-sized charts Vixen, Fisherman's Catch, Maui Princess, and a few others she's eyeballing.  That's why I call it the List-O-Doom.  I ought to call it the Ever-Growing List-O-Doom.  I must teach her to stitch! Otherwise I will be stitching Hannah Lynn's until the day I die.

For a tiny finish - I thought I had finished this already, and misplaced it, kinda like that Angel before?  But no, it was still in the little project bag I carry to work, with only half the backstitch done.  So I finished it up.  I really like the way this one turned out.  It's very pretty. This picture does not do it justice!  The colors are very bright and vivid.

Photobucket

Also, it is not crooked XD

The next two stockings in line on the pattern sheet are a Santa and a Baby Jesus - I haven't decided which I'll stitch in December.

On the Eagle I am about 3/4 (maybe) of the way through the white.  I knew there was a lot, but it feels endless.  All of the 3/4 stitches in the stars are not helping.  It's difficult to see if they are placed correctly even with my very bright stitching lamp on.

But I'll persevere - because I've less than a month to get the blasted bird done.

IHSW - November

Eh.

Photobucket

Maybe next year weekends won't be as hectic... this is staying as my IHSW project until it's done.

PS - she looks a bit less like the Wicked Witch, though!  :D

Completely Can't Decide

The 2013 Freebie SAL from the HAED Bulletin Board has the pictures up - here are the choices:

QS Heather
Photobucket

QS Literate Dragon
Photobucket

QS Theatre of the Absurd
Photobucket

QS Mystic Garden
Photobucket

QS Nostalgy
Photobucket

and  SK Trick or Treat
Photobucket

The SK I'm not going to do, as I'd actually like to do the whole picture of that one someday, and an SK that complicated usually comes out looking - not so good, in my opinion.

However, that leaves the other five - and only Heather is kinda eliminated - I started to pick her, because she's on the 'list' that I was given, but when I showed the QS to the person wanting them, they objected, because Heather is on their list specifically for the green dress.

Mystic Garden & the Theatre I like, but I also like the big versions.  Either way would be okay - I think, because I can't really tell what the rest of the Theatre looks like in the preview - the pic is too small on the HAED site.

QS Literate Dragon - I like.  However, I can't find the large version to see what else it may have.  Anyone know where it is or why I can't find it?

and finally, Nostalgy.  She's a Dahlig.  I love Dahligs!  She's also not a very popular choice for some reason, which means the forum for her won't be as crowded... a bonus in my opinion.  And the Goth Chick would adore her.

But I really just can't decide.  And the rules are different - instead of posting so many WIP pics and getting all the other patterns because of it, this year its - earn the pattern of your choice for every 1/2 page you stitch of your original choice.  I'm SLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOW!  I don't know if I could keep up, lol!

What to do, what to do?

The Random Butterfly Post

***THIS POST IS VERY PICTURE HEAVY***

I randomly decided to stitch this wee butterfly one color at a time - I've been doing that a lot lately - and to also take a pic of each color, even though some were only a few stitches.  I have no idea why :D  But here is the random-post result!

In other randomness, I put up a poll - over on the right, if it shows up - and you guys can help me pick which Hannah Lynn to do first.  These pics are in order, going top row left to right, then bottom row left to right, of the names in the poll.

Photobucket

I need to start kitting up one soon, if I want to start her towards the end of January '13 - it often takes that long to get floss around here!  So the poll will end middle of December.  I have a dentist appointment around that time and the dentist is three hours from my house but only five minutes from a Hobby Lobby :D

More Eagle, and the Last of the New Stash

I found a pack of cheap batteries - enough for one whole picture before the camera died again.

I really need to get to the store!

Anyway, here's the Eagle with the next shade of red done.

Photobucket

I've decided to bite the bullet and start on the white next.  I'm not fond of stitching white on white, but it has to be done :D  It'll finish up a big chunk of this project, too, and November's already half over!  I'm going to have to stop fiddling with other things and make sure I spend more of my very little free time on this and the PM project.  I started the two in the canoe (lol, poetry!) but the batteries didn't last long enough for a picture.

I got the Layaway patterns, finally!  Here's the last of the stash for awhile - I've got two more layaways but I only just started them during the last two sales.

Amanda and Axel - this is the HL I posted about before.

Yarr - I love this picture!

Equus - only the picture is grainy.  The pic on the chart is smooth.  Weird.

A Hiccup

Well, I paid off my other layaway at HAED on Friday, but my patterns still aren't available for download.

This happened once before - my payment notifications just seem to get lost, lol!

Also I haven't had much time to stitch BUT I've finished another stocking and another little kit.  I'll show them to you guys as soon as I remember to buy batteries for my camera.  Amazing how easy it is to forget that XD

Until I can show off more, here are two patterns that were gifted to me - by the person who wants these stitched for them... hmm... maybe it's a hint?

Hidden Treasures
Photobucket

QS Sweet Selena
Photobucket

She bought them on the last day of the sale.  She has about six (SIX!) more that she wants but I said if she buys them, I'll get around to stitching them someday, lol!  It all started when I showed her QS Fragile Heart that I got in the last Freebie SAL.  She's on the list, too.  So I'm going to start one of these Hannah Lynn's in January - I have no idea which one, though.  And none of them are kitted yet.  I also have one more in the layaway that I'm waiting to download.  Sheesh!  Maybe I'll try a poll?

EDIT:  Also, I got one more WS&B pattern this payday - so many HAEDS; I thought I'd better not get two even though they're quite cheap.

A Whole Lot of HAEDs

I'm feeling a bit stunned right now - probably at the idea of, if these ever are stitched, which my brain is shouting yes! and omg, r u nutz? at the same time, then it will be at least forty years.  Minimum.

But I bought three HAED patterns during the sale:

Photobucket
QS Wintergreen Wishes (these first two are for someone else, and are thankfully small.  Still not to my complete taste, although they may be growing on me - I did agree, after all!)

Photobucket
QS Valarie

Photobucket
Violaine (mine! all mine!)

and I also paid the final payment on a layaway, which brought all these:

Photobucket
Wrath

Photobucket
The Druid

Photobucket
The Magi -  I'll admit to being a bit disappointed about these two, but it's my own fault - I didn't pay attention to the stitch count and thought they would be the same size. Magi is actually quite a bit smaller.  Still love them, though.

Photobucket
Silon Winter

Photobucket
The Oracle

Photobucket
Forsaken

Photobucket
Dreamcatcher

And I have another layaway almost paid off - probably with my payday Friday.  So I'll be stunned all over again - what am I thinking?  It's like 'got to have ALL the pretties!!!'
