YoW 2018

'YoW' is the Year of Wips, 2018.  It is hosted on the Soulful Stitching group on Facebook.

This page is for keeping all my progress pictures together each month.

1. 'Voice of Spring' - a Precious Moments pattern by Gloria and Pat, stitched with 2 strands of floss on 14ct white aida.

2.  'Angel of Hope' by Lavender and Lace.  Two strands over two on 32ct charcoal Lugana

3. 'January' by the Prairie Schooler.  I started this on 1-1-18, and it will be my first Primary Focus piece.  Two over two on 32ct Lambswool Lugana

4. 'Friendship Keepsake' by Sunset.  Two over one on 14ct dusty pink aida.  This one is my first 'purse kit' of the year.

5. 'My Day Off' by Design Works.  Two over one, 13ct white.  My first Secondary Focus piece of the year, and will stay Secondary Focus until it moves up to Primary.

6. 'Sunset Birds' - a China Printed kit.  3 strands on 11ct printed aida.

7.  'Three Kings' by Gloria and Pat, from a Christmas freebie booklet.  I can't remember how many strands until I get it out and look, but I think it's on 16ct oatmeal aida.  This one will be a 'purse' project.

8. 'Archangel' by Mirabilia.  Two over two on 32ct Belfast Linen in 'Thunderstorm' by vintage Silkweaver.  The skin is one over one, which is why he isn't done.

9. 'Lovers' by Nene Thomas and HAED.  One over one full cross on 22ct cream hardanger.  I am very close to finishing the second page.

10.  'Santas of Fable and Fantasy.  I can never remember, when I'm writing or even talking to someone, which comes first - Fantasy or Fable? For some reason, I've gotten really 'in' to Santa Claus Cross Stitch recently.  This one is two over two on 28ct Wheat Lugana.  Mostly.  Sometimes it's two floss and three blending filament strands.  Which is why there is a needle threader.

11.  'Welcome Friends' by Janlynn (Just-a-Chart), two over one on 16ct beige that I dyed myself and have discovered it has a big pale blotch on it.  But I'm not frogging.

12.  'Flower of the East' by Dimensions and James Himsworth.  2 over 2 on an unknown 28ct antique white linen.

13. 'Rose Bouquet' by Charmin.  2 over 1, 14ct white.  Will be a 'purse' kit.

14. 'Chang Wufei' a pattern I made myself.  Pilot 05 from Gundam Wing.  On 16ct blue, 3 strands over 1.

15.  'Savannah Birth Sampler' by Dimensions.  I won't be putting birth info in the middle.  2 over 1, 14ct white.

16. 'Lucky Fish'.  I don't have a cover picture.  An 11ct printed aida kit from China, stitched with 3 threads.  The bottom fish will be black.

17.  'Live Simply' by Dimensions.  A motto I find myself unable to adopt as far as craft stash and wips are concerned!  2 over 1, 14ct white.  Will be a 'purse' kit.

18.  'Acquainted with the Night' by Design Works.  2 over 1, 14ct white.  I love this with all my heart!  I've signed up for 2 SALs on Stitch Maynia (facebook) that hopefully will see it done.

19.  'Frosty Forest' by Country Cottage Needleworks.  2 over 1 on 32ct Silvery Moon Lugana.  According to YoW rules, I could count this as 8 WIPs, but I'm only counting it as one.  The pattern shown is the next block; there are nine total.

20. 'Unspoken' by Adele Sessler and HAED. 1 over 1 full cross on 22ct white hardanger.  My goal is 2 pages, each page could count as a WIP but I'm just counting them as one since the first page is partly done.

21. 'Laundry' by Dimensions.  2 over 1 on 14ct white.  Another 'purse' kit, whenever I get to it.

22.  'Teacup Kitten' from World of Cross Stitch - I'll add the number when I get the project out.  On 28ct blue Monaco, two over two.  I'm going to use this one in the Whip That WIP stitchalong on Stitch Maynia.  It's for finishing Stitch Maynia starts and this is one from 2016.

23. 'Footprints' by Leisure Arts.  Another Stitch Maynia 2016 start and untouched since.  On 28ct Mushroom Jobelan, two over two.  I can use this one for the SAL if I finish the Kitten.

And that's the end of the YoW projects!  I will try to update every month on the 18th with whatever progress I have!
