A Little Stitching Progress, and a revived UFO.

I am SO FAR BEHIND on reading blog posts and commenting, but I will be using this week to catch up!  My feedly list is bursting at the seams :D  I've discovered Flosstube videos - I never knew that was a thing! - and I've been fascinated!  Don't know if I'm fascinated enough to ever do my own but they are so much fun to watch.  Very Enabling, though, so watch your budget if you start watching, too.  All you have to do is go to youtube and type in flosstube.  There are hundreds!

Anyway, I've been stitching some.  Here's my update on Unspoken - last time:

April that I forgot to post here, but wasn't much:

And now this time:

I think I have finished most of the confetti; only a little to go and then this page will speed up :D  Just a lot of white and off white in big areas.

I was working on my craft room, trying to get it organized (it's an ongoing battle) and I picked up one of my UFOs and just - randomly started it up again.  It's 'Smell the Coffee' by Janlynn:

I know this kit is OOP - I bought it eons ago at a discount store.  I had only stitched this:

I have worked on it two evenings while watching those Flosstube videos and now it looks like this:

I don't know how long it will keep my attention but right now I can't seem to put it down.  Weird.

  1. Great progress! I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with the hummel project I've been working on since Feb. My friend will be on the Cape in August so I'm trying to crank it out to have it done for her.

  2. Great progress on Unbroken. I've done something similar with a UFO this past week and now can't put it down! Yours is lovely and bright - maybe that's what you need after all those greys?

  3. Love the morning coffee piece - lots of bright colours. All the white on the white is making my eyes hurt! Very glad it's you doing it not me - I'd have gone "it's white on white, it won't matter if I don't stitch it." ;)

    1. It's even brighter in real life!
I thought about not stitching the white, but there actually isn't a huge amount of it after this page. I was worried it would look weird.
I do have a HAED with big blocks of white all through it, and I'm not stitching the white on that one - no way!

    1. Thanks!
It's weird but lately my brain has been dwelling on my UFOs more than starting something new. It's possible I have some weird disease. Or maybe I'm possessed by my mother.

  7. OMG! I've been obsessing with the Flosstube videos too! I'm too chicken to make one, but I can't stop watching them. I have made a couple of timelapse videos of my stitching, but again, too chicken to post.

    1. I LOVE them! I would ADORE seeing your stitching on a video - you could always be one of those behind-the-camera video people!

    1. I'm adoring every moment of it XD
I found one of my UFO's lost pattern on eBay. It took a long time but it finally turned up.

  9. Wonderful progress, Tama! I love the bright colors on the coffee one. Great job with sticking to the white on white; my eyes would have stopped working long ago! Flosstube? Now you have me curious; I'll have to check those out.

    1. Beware, they are addictive!!!
I'm hoping the videos distract me from the boring-ness of the fill-in work on the white!

    1. It's really fun and kind of addictive. It's interesting to see all the different ages and types of people who stitch. I don't mean to sound weird about gender roles, but I was surprised at the number of men who have stitching videos. So cool!
