C is for Cat

Another amigurumi pattern from planetjune!  She does some of the best stuff out there :D

C is for Cat!  Planetjune's pattern is the most realistic one I've found.

I have bought this pattern, but I haven't made one yet - my first April A-Z project :D  Here is the one I'm starting out with:

And I'm making a grey one, too - my cat Grizabella is grey, and so is her brother, Munster, who was adopted by my sibling the same time I got Bella.  I'm making Munster first because Bella has some tortie markings and I want to see exactly where to place those.

Here is my little bit of a start - one tail, two ears, and two back paws!  I'll show you more as he progresses :D

Happy stitching!

  1. I love this cat pattern, and I agree that it is one of the more realistic ones. :) all my friends are cat people so if I ever do an amigurumi I think this will be high on my list. Is it a tricky one?

    1. So far it has been fairly easy but I read in her pattern description that adding the front legs can be a bit tricky. I can let you know when I get there!

  2. That is sooo cool! I'm curious to know how long it takes to make these amigurumi pieces.

    1. Not too long if I don't get distracted - a simple one can take only a few hours (letters G & S, when I get there), a complicated one like the ones I'll show tomorrow can take quite a bit of time.
