H is for Horse

Horses are one of my favorite animals, and yet, I don't own a horse pattern.  There - isn't that so sad?

A look on etsy showed me no horse amigurumi that were not badly misshapen except for THIS - OH MY!!!

I could totally make that horse, but I have to source the material.  And get up my courage!  It takes a very fine yarn and a wire frame.  The pattern is in French, but they have an English version, too.

Of course, it's still an odd looking horse!  I would make it, but I like realistic ones, too.  A google search showed me this:

It looks nice, but the etsy shop it links to is on hiatus so that kills the idea of getting that one!

Then June from PlanetJune announced that she has made a horse pattern!  And is putting the finishing touches on it and it will be available soon!  Woo hoo!  Her patterns always look good so I have high hopes for her horse!

Also - meow!

So cute, I can't even stand it! lol!  He has a grey nose because Munster has a grey nose - a pink one would show up better but I was trying to match my sister's cat.  I had to sew his ears on three times before I was reasonably happy with them.  But he's super cute!  His front paws don't always touch the surface, depending on what he's sitting on, because his bottom isn't quite flat.  I can't tell from the pattern pictures if it's supposed to be completely flat but I'm not worried about it.  His tail is slightly poseable and he fits in the palm of my hand.

SO CUTE!

Anyway, I don't know what I'll do for letters 'I' and 'J' yet - off to do some research!

Happy Stitching!

    I've never done amigurumi.

Btw the qs lovers is freaking gorgeous! It's like a Sarah/Jareth from Labyrinth or kagome/sesshomaru pairing from Inuyasha. Love it!!!
